Swap Space
Swap space is a concern for many Linux administrators interested in tuning their system for best performance. Swap space in Linux is used when the amount of physical memory (RAM) is full although many applications may use swap space regardless of available memory. If the system needs more memory resources and the RAM is full, inactive pages in memory are moved to the swap space.
Although we do not recommend running Anaconda Enterprise Notebooks on servers with swap disabled we do not have any recommendations on the size of the swap space or the level of swapiness set for Linux servers running Anaconda Enterprise Notebooks. We leave these suggestions to the vendor of your Operating System(Red Hat, Ubuntu, CentOS, Suse, etc.). Please check your vendor's suggested settings for tuning your Linux servers.
